Job summary

ThoughtLabs Belgium is seeking a seasoned Power BI professional to lead full-stack BI development in Warsaw. The role combines dashboard/data model development with strong data integration using SQL Server, REST APIs, and advanced DAX/Power Query techniques.

You will design scalable BI solutions, optimize performance, document architectures, and present solutions to stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and responsibility for support on complex issues are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Full-stack Power BI support or developer role (custom solutions development, dashboards, data models, paginated reports).
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server applications development with T-SQL, plus experience with REST API and Web Services.
• Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M language) including data optimization and advanced analytics.
• Experience with performance tuning via SQL source optimization, views, and maximizing query folding.
• Ability to elicit requirements and draft specifications for final solutions.
• Teamwork and ability to present to business stakeholders and other audiences.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops the system with Power BI as core platform.

• Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the solution
• Expert in developing enterprise level software systems in specified technology domain
• Knows UML and can design applications in UML
• Proficient in designing and developing data layer, business logic layer and UI layer

Specific requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Full-stack Power BI support or developer role (custom solutions development, dashboards, data models, paginated reports etc.)
• Microsoft SQL Server applications development with T-SQL knowledge, experience with Experience with Web Services, REST API, HTTP API
• Experience with DAX & Power Query (M language) – data optimization, Advanced Data Analytics tools, Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS).
• Strong skills in Power BI performance tuning via MS SQL source optimization, including efficient T-SQL, database Views, and maximizing Query Folding.
• Requirement elicitation and draft specifications for final solution
• Teamwork, conflict management, result-oriented, able to present to Business stakeholders and other audience
