Job summary

GlobalLogic seeks a Senior Embedded SW Architect to lead a greenfield migration to Zephyr RTOS on MCU platforms. You will craft the architectural blueprint, rewrite core code, and guide porting with full technical ownership.

You will work with IoT connectivity, embedded UI, and security concepts, writing clear architecture specs and design guidelines. Collaboration with enterprise architects is essential, with strong English (B2+) required.

Qualifications

• Senior Embedded SW Architect with full lifecycle experience from SoD to SoP.
• Expertise in RTOS-based development on Microcontrollers (Zephyr preferred).
• Proficient in architecture documentation and requirements breakdown.

If you are tired of patching up legacy code and want to build something from the ground up, this might be for you.

We are building a Team of Embedded Architects to spearhead a complete technological shift. We are sunsetting our Embedded Linux setup and migrating the entire ecosystem to NXP microcontrollers running Zephyr OS.

This is a pure greenfield opportunity where you will write the new architectural blueprint, rewrite the core code from scratch, and strategically guide the porting process. It’s an ideal playground for someone who wants full technical ownership and knows how to push Zephyr to its limits.

Requirements

Seniority & Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Embedded SW Architect through full product lifecycles—from Start of Development (SoD) to Start of Production (SoP)—including hands‑on experience with production‑related topics.
Architecture Framework: Proven expertise using the arc42 documentation template.
Certifications: iSAQB Certified Professional for Software Architecture (Foundation Level / CPSA-F) preferred; Advanced level modules (e.g., ARCEVAL, IMPROVE, or soft skills) are highly desirable.
OS & Embedded Systems: In-depth expertise in RTOS-based development (strong preference for Zephyr RTOS) on Microcontrollers (MCU).
Modern Tooling & Methods: Practical experience utilizing AI-assisted software engineering tools and modern CI/CD toolchains.
Documentation & Soft Skills: Strong technical writing skills (clear requirements breakdown and architectural specifications).

Practical experience with IoT connectivity protocols, embedded UI frameworks, and baseline knowledge in embedded security/cryptography.

Excellent communication skills for close collaboration with internal enterprise architects.

• Architect robust and scalable software solutions for embedded systems within the LaundryCare domain.
• Design and define the software architecture for M3uC (Microcontroller Unit) based systems, ensuring modularity and maintainability.
• Develop comprehensive architecture documentation, including design specifications, interface definitions, and technical guidelines.
• Drive the implementation of core software components using C++ in an RTOS environment.
• Ensure adherence to architectural standards and quality gates throughout the software development lifecycle.
