Software Applications Engineer II job at IGT. Poland.

Responsibilities

The position offered is for a central system engineer. The candidate will be working mainly on a lottery on-line transaction processing system based on Linux/Unix system and written in C technology.

  • Development and maintenance of a complex lottery on-line transaction processing systems
  • Maintaining existing system installations for our clients
  • Implementation of changes and new functionalities in existing systems at the client’s request, a full range of tasks from requirements specification to QA test support
  • Developing new system implementations - adapting the baseline system based on customer requirements
  • Participation in future system implementations for customers around the world
Qualifications

Candidate Profile:

  • Higher or technical education and at least 1 years of programming experience preferred
  • Very good knowledge and experience in working with C/C++, Unix/Linux and software development
  • Very good command of English is essential
  • Communication skills
  • Flexibility, motivation, initiative
  • Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge
  • Open to travelling

Not required but advantageous skills:

  • Knowledge of Java SE and EE technologies
  • Unix shell scripting
  • Client-server programming with REST API
  • Python programming
  • Designing and programming large-scale, distributed systems
  • Knowledge of relational databases in the most popular RDBMS systems.
