Job summary

Capgemini Poland is seeking a Senior Snowflake Cloud Engineer to design and build modern cloud data platforms. You will shape architectural decisions, set technical standards, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable Snowflake solutions.

You will work with Big Data and cloud engineering, optimize data models, migrations from on-prem, and explore AI-enabled data workloads. Strong SQL and Python/Scala/Java skills, plus English proficiency, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience with Big Data or cloud projects
• Strong understanding of Snowflake pricing and cost optimization
• Ability to design data pipelines using Snowflake features
• Familiarity with Snowflake security model
• Knowledge of at least one public cloud platform
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language
• Very good command of English

You will join the Insights & Data Team, delivering state‑of‑the‑art data solutions across industries. Our expertise spans Cloud and Big Data engineering, where we build robust systems capable of processing extensive and complex datasets using cloud services across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Our work covers the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), utilizing ETL tools, programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, and DevOps best practices.

Your role

Join us as a Senior Snowflake Cloud Engineer and take a leading role in designing next‑generation cloud data platforms. • Designing, developing, and maintaining Snowflake data pipelines supporting key business functions.
• Working closely with cross‑functional teams to gather data requirements and build scalable cloud solutions.
• Optimizing data models and schemas to ensure performance, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness in Snowflake environments.
• Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
• Implementing monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Planning and executing migrations from on‑premises data warehouses to Snowflake.
• Developing solutions involving AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI aligned with business needs.
• Staying current with Snowflake best practices and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Your profile

• Experience working with Big Data or Cloud projects involving large and/or unstructured datasets.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake’s pricing model and cost optimization strategies.
• Practical ability to design and implement data transformation pipelines using native Snowflake features or partner services.
• Familiarity with Snowflake’s security model.
• Knowledge of at least one public cloud platform (Storage, Compute/Serverless, Networking, DevOps).
• Working knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language: Python, Scala, Java, or Bash.
• Very good command of English.
