Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to own the MAS Dedicated stack on OpenShift on AWS (ROSA) in Krakow. The role focuses on reliability, performance, and scalability of our platform, with hybrid work and a path to advanced certs.

The ideal candidate will bring deep cloud, container orchestration, and database management expertise, plus a proactive, security-conscious mindset for ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of SRE/DevOps experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong Kubernetes/OpenShift and cloud infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience in database administration (Db2/Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Monitor OpenShift cluster, MAS pods, Db2 and endpoints; manage SLOs and alerts.
• Automate upgrades, certificate rotation, backups, and DR processes.
• Tune JVM, resources, and DB performance for large asset volumes.
• Manage AWS networking, storage, scaling, and security hardening.

About Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to take ownership of the reliability of the MAS Dedicated stack on Red Hat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA). This role is critical in ensuring the performance, availability, and scalability of our platform, database, and integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and database management.

What You'll Do

• Monitor the OpenShift cluster, MAS pods, Db2, and integration endpoints; manage alerts and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Automate MAS upgrades, certificate rotation, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
• Tune JVM and pod resources, as well as database performance, to handle large asset volumes efficiently.
• Manage AWS networking, storage (Cloud Object Storage), scaling, and implement security hardening measures.

Mandatory Skills

• Proficient in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with AWS services, specifically ROSA, VPC, and Cloud Object Storage (COS).
• Expertise in Db2 and Oracle database administration.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Helm and operators for Kubernetes.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong monitoring skills and experience with MAS administration.
