Job summary

KION Group IT in Kraków is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and evolve cloud-based platform infrastructure, including an Internal Developer Platform. You will automate deployments, enhance observability, and maintain reliability across Java-based applications in a global IT services context.

Qualifications

• 3 years of working experience in a similar position (SRE/DevOps or related).
• Ability to debug, optimize, and automate routine tasks and deployments.
• Familiarity with setting up and enhancing product monitoring.
• Systematic problem-solving approach with effective communication.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Demonstrable Agile mindset and willingness to learn and develop.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve cloud-based platform infrastructure, including development of the Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• Automate platform components, application deployments, and recurring operational tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Implement and enhance observability capabilities, including monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting based on SLOs.
• Ensure platform availability, stability, and compliance with quality and security standards.
• Improve IT services reliability; facilitate blameless postmortems and derive improvement measures.
• Maintain and work on the operational issues backlog.
• Support onboarding of new 3rd-party and SaaS solutions to the team.
• Contribute to maintaining operational readiness, including participation in the team's on-call rotation.
• Operate, monitor, and take over custom-built and 3rd-party Java-based applications on the platform, transitioning them from project teams to operations.
