Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Shopify Practice Lead to build and lead our e-commerce practice in a remote-first environment. You will guide teams through Shopify implementations, mentor developers, and partner with sales on pre-sales calls to turn Shopify into a growth engine for clients.

You’ll translate business goals into technical roadmaps, drive conversion optimization and CRO best practices, and stay current with Shopify updates and integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale solutions and measurable conversion improvements.
• Experience leading development teams, mentoring developers, and conducting code reviews.
• Ability to translate business goals into technical roadmaps and communicate with stakeholders.
• Experience supporting sales conversations, scoping projects, and identifying growth opportunities.
• Strong communication, organization, and remote collaboration skills.
• High proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee Shopify stores, applications, and integrations end-to-end.
• Drive scalable, secure solutions; establish coding standards and proofs of concept.
• Lead prototype engagements, set best practices, scope work, mentor developers.
• Act as primary contact for client portfolio; align roadmaps with business goals.
• Provide guidance on conversion optimization, UX/UI, SEO, and performance.
• Participate in discovery calls; scope projects and identify upsell opportunities.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and marketers to align tech with business goals.
• Ensure designs meet performance, SEO, and CRO standards.
• Stay updated with Shopify changes, headless frameworks, and integrations.
• Champion engineering excellence within the e-commerce roadmap.
