On behalf of Scanjet, MARPRO is looking for a Service Engineer to join the Aftersales department. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer experiences by servicing key products from Scanjet’s portfolio, including tank cleaning machines, PV valves, and tank level gauging systems.

Key duties

  • On-site supervision: Perform troubleshooting, warranty handling, testing, commissioning, and servicing jobs (Mechanical & Electrical) on Scanjet products at various sites, including overseas, anchorage, off-port limits, shipyards, on-board vessels, in-house, or at land-based industries.
  • Service planning and execution: Collaborate with the service coordinator to plan and execute service assignments, including repairs, installations, and startups.
  • Documentation and improvement: Document service activities and provide internal feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Technical support: Offer technical advice and recommendations to superintendents, vessel crews, or on-site managers, ensuring equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Safety and compliance: Conduct risk assessments for each service and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Training and support: Provide equipment training to customers and new service technicians as needed.
  • Additional duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, including claims and deviation handling and general office duties.

Professional Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, with a preference for marine engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Fluent in English (Polish is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Experience working within ERP-system and other various computer operating system.
  • Excellent report-writing skills (for making service reports).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving orientation.
  • Willingness to work long hours/weekends and travel on short notice, including overseas trips.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Valid driving license.
