Job summary

Rebel Wolves in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking a Writer/Senior Writer to craft the story and dialogues for our AAA dark fantasy RPG. You will collaborate with the Narrative Director and Quest Design, while shaping lore and in-game text for our upcoming title.

Remote work is possible, with on-site offices in Warsaw for in-person collaboration. You should have shipped titles and fluent English, plus strong writing and collaborative skills, ready to contribute to a growing, veteran team.

Qualifications

• Proven writing skills with published work.
• Native or near-native English fluency.
• At least 3 years of experience as a writer or narrative designer in games.
• Familiarity with game engines (Unity, Unreal) and dialogue writing tools.
• Ability to craft interactive, non-linear stories and compelling dialogue.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Basic IT fluency.
• Passion for video games and a proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Craft compelling stories and write dialogue.

We’re currently working on an AAA dark fantasy RPG – the first title of a planned saga set in our own brand‑new universe. The visual style of animation is grounded and realistic.

Writer/Senior Writer

We’re looking for a Writer/Senior Writer to join our Narrative Team. As a Writer/Senior Writer, you’ll be working under our Narrative Director, alongside other writers, and in close collaboration with the Quest Design Team. As part of the team, you will be involved in crafting the story and writing the dialogues for our upcoming title. You can work either on‑site, in our modern offices in Warsaw, Poland (Dereniowa Street) – or remotely.

Responsibilities

• Crafting stories;
• Writing dialogues;
• Writing cutscene and CGI scripts;
• Writing on‑screen, in‑game documents;
• Creating internal documentation;
• Assistance with editing/proofing of English text;
• Ensuring lore consistency and expanding our own, new IP;
• Collaborating with PR/Marketing and Localization;
• Working with VO artists and directors.

Requirements

• Excellent writing skills with documented successes;
• Native or near‑native fluency in English;
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a writer/narrative designer in the video game industry and at least one major release (or several smaller titles) to your name;
• Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, UE) and dialogue writing tools;
• Ability to create interactive, non‑linear stories and dialogues;
• Ability to adapt the story to gameplay and technical requirements without sacrificing the quality of the writing;
• Great communication skills and ability to adapt based on feedback;
• Basic IT fluency;
• Passion for video games, positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Nice to have

• Experience of working in a writers’ team/writers’ room;
• Familiarity with major CRPG releases;
• Familiarity with the history and folklore of Central and Eastern Europe;
• Experience writing in other media (e.g., movies, comic books, novels);
• Fluency in Polish.
