You’ll collaborate with our in-house designers and project managers, but won't be client-facing. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and can build robust WordPress solutions from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP and ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)
- Build, test, and deploy features across new and existing sites using GitHub workflows
- Write and manage Cloudflare Workers for performance, routing, or edge functions
- Integrate with external APIs and use the WordPress REST API for advanced functionality
- Optimize sites for speed, scalability, and security on our private server infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with our team using ClickUp for task management and Telegram/email for communication
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands‑on WordPress development experience
- Expert‑level knowledge of PHP and ACF (including flexible content, repeaters, and relationships)
- Experience building Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and deploying Cloudflare Workers
- Solid GitHub workflow knowledge (PRs, branches, deployments)
- Familiarity with Linux‑based servers and custom server environments (no cPanel)
- Comfortable building and debugging custom plugins, especially membership‑based systems
- Not client‑facing, but must be clear, responsive, and proactive in internal communication
Bonus Points
- Experience with RESTful API integrations
- Familiarity with frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack, etc.)
- Understanding of WP CLI and automation workflows
- Remote Flexibility: 100% remote role with flexible hours (as long as deadlines are met and team communication is strong)
- Long‑Term Opportunity: Potential to convert to a full‑time hire after successful project delivery
- Stable Pipeline of Work: We're an established agency with steady incoming client work, meaning ongoing projects and consistent pay
- Team Support: Work alongside experienced project managers and designers who handle client interactions, so you can focus on code
- Autonomy & Trust: No micromanagement — just solid communication, strong execution, and mutual respect
