Job summary

Rockwell Automation Poland seeks a Senior Windchill Developer to lead Windchill PLM development, configuration, and integration across the enterprise. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver scalable solutions and enhance product lifecycle management capabilities. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with a Poland-based team.

You will work on Windchill APIs, ESI connectors, and REST services using Java/J2EE, JSP, XML, and JavaScript in a Windows/Linux environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Windchill development, configuration and customization.
• Strong knowledge of PLM/Windchill capabilities incl. Part, BOM, Document, CAD/WVS/Publishing Rules/Representations, Change Management.
• Experience with Windchill configuration elements: ACLs, OIRs, lifecycles, workflows, types, attributes, business rules, QueryBuilder reports.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and Windchill APIs for customization and integration.

Responsibilities

• Translate functional requirements into Windchill solution designs and development tasks.
• Develop and customize Windchill applications, modules, workflows and reporting.
• Prepare technical specification documents.
• Estimate effort and complexity for new tasks and enhancements.
• Implement enhancements and integrations with Windchill APIs/ESI/connectors.
• Collaborate with Kalypso & PTC Cloud for maintenance and upgrades.
• Provide end-user support for global Windchill users.
• Troubleshoot Windchill issues including upgrades and config errors.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies (daily syncs, planning, backlog grooming).
• Continuously seek improvement opportunities.

Job Description

Rockwell Automation is in the process of implementation Windchill solution as a new corporate-wide PLM platform. If you're interested in joining newly formed and still growing team, you will be part of a dynamic group expanding our capabilities.

You will be a member of global IT Product Lifecycle Management team. As a Senior Windchill Developer at Rockwell Automation, you will be responsible for the development, customization, and support of our Windchill PLM platform. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions that enhance product lifecycle management capabilities across the enterprise.

The role reports directly to a Manager located in Poland and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Your Responsibilities

• Transfer functional requirements into solution design & development for new enhancement requests, build preparation for the developed requirements.
• Develop and customize Windchill applications, modules, workflows and reporting frameworks.
• Prepare technical specification documents.
• Estimate effort and complexity for new development tasks and enhancements.
• Implement enhancements and integrations with 3rd party systems using Windchill ESI connectors and Windchill APIs.
• Collaborate with Kalypso & PTC Cloud support to manage regular maintenance activities and upgrade events.
• Provide end-user support for the global Windchill engineering userbase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windchill-related issues, including custom upgrades and configuration errors
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies (daily synchs, sprint planning, backlog grooming).
• Continuously seek for the improvement opportunities.

The Essentials - You Will Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or or related technical field.
• 5+ years of hand-on experience in PTC Windchill development, configuration and customization.
• Strong functional and technical knowledge of PLM/Windchill capabilities including Part, BOM, Document, CAD/WVS/Publishing Rules/Representations, and Change Management.
• Experience with Windchill configuration elements: ACLs, OIRs, lifecycles, workflows, types, attributes, business rules, QueryBuilder reports.
• Strong experience with Java/J2EE programming, including use of Windchill APIs for customization and integration, e.g. custom actions, data utilities, validators, event listeners.
• Programming knowledge of JSP, XML, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Server and Linux.
• Knowledge of Windchill Data Model and Windchill reporting.
• Familiarity with code repositories and CI/CD tools, e.g., Git, ADO, GitHub, Azure DevOps.
• Fluent in English (C1).

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

• Familiarity with Windchill modules- PartsLink (Classification), MPMLink etc.
• On-hands experience with ESI'.
• Experience in Windchill REST Services and Integrations.
• Knowledge of Windchill ThingWorx and Navigate.
• Exposure to Ticketing Tools like Service Now.
