Job summary

Cerebre is seeking a Senior Web Application Engineer to join our 100% remote team and help evolve a large, enterprise-grade web application used in the industrial sector. You will collaborate with frontend and backend engineers, product and design to drive complex features from concept to production.

The role emphasizes owning substantial frontend functionality, deep understanding of application state and data flows, and proactive problem solving in a fast-paced product environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building and maintaining large, complex web applications.
• Experience with state management, asynchronous behavior, and inter-feature dependencies.
• Experience with large existing codebases where changes affect multiple areas.
• Experience integrating frontend with backend services and structured data.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently when requirements are not fully defined.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• At least B2 English level.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve complex functionality in a large React and TypeScript application.
• Develop highly interactive application interfaces with complex user interactions, state, logic, and dependencies.
• Consider the broader product impact of changes and understand how different areas of the application interact.
• Build new functionality while maintaining and improving features already used by customers.
• Work with structured and interconnected data, asynchronous processes, backend services, and APIs.
• Collaborate closely with frontend and backend engineers on technical solutions and implementation.
• Work closely with the Product team to understand problems, shape solutions, and contribute beyond simply executing predefined tasks.
• Investigate problems, gather missing information, and propose solutions when requirements are not fully defined.
