Job summary

LTM is seeking a Senior Unix Administrator in Kraków for a 6‑month contract with hybrid work arrangement. You will configure, support, and optimize Linux (RHEL) systems and Solaris environments within a DevOps delivery model.

You will collaborate with application teams and DevOps pods to deploy services, ensure SLA adherence, and drive automation to reduce repetitive tasks. Strong scripting and Veritas tools experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux server administration expertise primarily RHEL with 6–10 years experience; SLES and Solaris x86/SPARC desirable.

Senior Unix Administrator

Krakow, Poland (Hybrid, 2-3 days in a week)

6 Months contract with possible extension

What You’ll Do

• Configure deliver and support Linux RHEL and some Solaris based server environments and services in a DevOps infrastructure delivery model
• Work with application teams and DevOps pods to deploy centrally provided services and ensure stable reliable operations
• Provide ongoing support across live and nonlive environments maintaining and improving SLAs and service quality
• Perform proactive analysis of daytoday work and drive automation to reduce repetitivestandardised tasks
• Write LinuxUNIX scripts eg shell Perl Python to automate and streamline BAU activities
• Advise on UnixLinux design and best practices throughout project lifecycles build ITSA implementation
• Draft and maintain standards and procedures for capacity management review SLA information to identify capacity risks and implement demand modifications with application teams
• Assess analyse document and implement changes based on requests for change translating functionalbusiness requirements into technical specifications
• Support incident troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and improve stability
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure application support and engineering teams providing consultancy and guidance

What you need to have to succeed in this role:

• Strong Linux server administration expertise primarily RHEL with 610 years experience SLES and Solaris x86SPARC desirable
• Industrystandard UNIX certifications as referenced in the role profile
• Proven Linux administration and architecture experience including volume managers multipathing and kernel parameter tuning
• Strong scriptingautomation skills shell Perl Python
• Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting of Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Cluster Server required
• Strong infrastructure background including x86 hardware and virtualisation platforms VMware Citrix HyperV
• Storage experience configuring filesystems on NAS and EMC SAN standalone and clustered including replication
• Working knowledge of networking conceptstechnology eg TCPUDP LANWAN F5 VIPs firewalls Cisco
• Experience working in a major enterprise andor a highly regulated environment eg Financial Services
• Experience with DevOps configuration management tooling eg Ansible Puppet Chef
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams able to explain complex topics clearly to varied audiences
• Selfmanagement skills prioritising effectively meeting deadlines and working well under pressure
• Good understanding of operational discipline ITIL conceptsservice operations beneficial and a track record of improving how things are done
