Job summary

Spyrosoft Ltd is seeking a Senior UAV System Engineer to lead integration and tuning of flight control systems on industrial drone platforms for wind turbine inspection and repair. The role focuses on hands-on development, on-site testing, and system-level optimization within a freelancing talent pool.

Ideal candidates will have deep ArduPilot experience, strong C++/Python skills, ROS2 familiarity, and proven success with UAV sensor fusion, RTK, and telemetry systems across medium to large

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
• Proven hands-on experience with ArduPilot.
• Strong experience with UAV systems (medium to large platforms).
• Practical experience with dual GPS configurations.
• Experience implementing RTK systems.
• Strong PID tuning experience on UAV platforms.
• Experience with real-world flight testing and system integration.
• U Understanding of MAVLink communication.
• English at least B2.
• Nice to have Experience with ROS2.
• Programming experience in C++ and/or Python.
• Experience working with companion computers (e.g., Jetson, Raspberry Pi).
• Experience with LTE/telemetry systems in UAVs.

Responsibilities

• Integrate sensors and subsystems (GPS, RTK, cameras, rangefinders, etc.) into UAV platforms.
• Perform flight tuning and stabilization, including PID tuning.
• Conduct on-site flight testing and validation.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues and optimize UAV performance.
• Configure and manage flight control systems (ArduPilot-based).
• Support system integration across hardware and software components.
• Contribute to R&D activities depending on experience and project needs.
