Experis Manpower Group is seeking a seasoned Test Manager for a hybrid role in Warsaw. You will develop testing strategies for a complex mainframe-to-Java/SQL migration, coordinate diverse testing activities, and lead a small test team. Strong communication and Agile experience are essential.

The position focuses on ensuring quality through defined processes, tooling like X-Ray, and stakeholder alignment across project phases.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a Test Manager in complex projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, particularly unit and functional testing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Job description

Location: Hybrid work model - 2 days per week from the Warsaw office Salary: 150 - 160 PLN net/h (B2B via Experis)

Responsibilities

• Develop and document a detailed testing strategy tailored to the complex migration from mainframe assembler applications to Java/SQL under Linux
• Identify and integrate various testing methodologies, including unit testing, functional testing, and comparison testing, into the testing framework
• Define and integrate appropriate testing tools, such as X-Ray
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of testing activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
• Support the test execution process across multiple testing phases, including planning, environment setup, execution, and reporting
• Act as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including architects, developers, and project management teams
• Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment on testing objectives and deliverables
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small test team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Assess resource needs and support the hiring and training of team members as the project scales
• Monitor and report on testing progress, defects, and overall quality metrics to stakeholders
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
• Produce comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
• Provide regular updates and status reports to senior project management and other stakeholders

Requirements
