Job summary

HeadHR is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer in Poland to design, implement, and optimize automated test suites for Web UI and APIs. You will drive CI/CD integrated tests, mentor peers, and help ensure high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong Selenium, Java, and API testing experience with a proactive approach to expanding test coverage and introducing AI-assisted testing methods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Test Automation.

• 5+ years of Java development / test automation coding experience.
• 3+ years of API automation testing experience (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with Git & maintaining remote code repositories.

Job description

• Design, develop and continuously improve automated test cases for Web UI and APIs
• Automate newly created test scenarios, including exploring opportunities to leverage AI in test automation
• Maintain and improve the existing test automation framework and code repository according to engineering best practices
• Monitor daily automated test runs, analyse results and investigate failures
• Maintain automated test cases in both the code repository and test management tools
• Implement fixes and required changes in automation code
• Plan and execute regression testing for application releases
• Identify, report, track and verify defects
• Proactively identify additional scenarios suitable for automation and extend existing test coverage
• Provide recommendations based on test execution results and identified risks
• Work closely with developers, analysts and other team members to ensure high quality throughout the delivery process
• Support manual testing activities when required
• Follow internal testing standards and established QA processes

Kogo poszukujemy?

• 5+ years of professional experience in Test Automation
• 5+ years of experience with Web UI test automation using Selenium
• 5+ years of Java development / test automation coding experience
• Strong experience in functional, system and integration testing
• 3+ years of API automation testing experience, including REST APIs and SOAP
• Strong experience with Git and maintaining remote code repositories
• Practical experience with Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Experience maintaining and executing automated test suites as part of scheduled CI/CD runs
• Good knowledge of general testing methodologies at approximately ISTQB Foundation Level
• 3+ years of experience with test management tools, preferably qTest, HP ALM or similar
• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence
• Good communication skills and English at B2 level or higher

• Experience with Playwright for Web UI test automation
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification
• Experience working in a SAFe / Agile environment
