Elasticsearch B.V. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Streams Backend team to design, implement, and operate backend services powering the unified data pipeline. You will contribute to Logstash and the OpenTelemetry Collector, and support enterprise customers in a distributed, remote-first environment.

The role emphasizes building scalable, reliable systems, collaborating across teams, and maintaining high test coverage while evolving the Streams platform and related tooling.

Qualifications

• Expertise in at least one of Java, Golang and Ruby, and willingness to learn and work with the others.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for complex distributed systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a remote-first distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing features for Logstash and plugins and core backend services in Golang.
• Contributing to the OpenTelemetry Collector and supporting users and enterprise customers.
• Collaborating with multiple teams and providing code reviews and guidance.
