Job summary

Equinix, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Platform Engineer to join a global Platform Infrastructure Engineering team. You will design solutions for monitoring, troubleshooting, and obtaining telemetry from Equinix worldwide network.

You will drive scalable architectures, set standards, and deliver automated, high‑performing systems globally while applying agile practices. This role requires strong Linux, virtualization, and Kubernetes expertise.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing on-premises Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Deep proficiency in Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with Proxmox and/or VMware.
• Proficiency in virtualization and containerization (e.g. QEMU, KVM, LXC, Docker).
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet/Ansible/Chef.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling (e.g. ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with secrets management processes and tooling, such as HashiCorp Vault.
• Background in distributed systems.
• Experience with networking and routing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive infrastructure automation for configuration management of 2,000+ VMs, dozens of Kubernetes clusters, and 600+ on-prem servers.
• Collaborate with global teams on security, networking, and platform standards.
• Implement GitOps practices for deployments, drift management, and developer portal.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and product stakeholders.
• Work with project managers and product teams to define and plan multiple projects.
• Participate in on-call shifts with clear processes and support.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Staff Platform Engineer to join our highly skilled and globally distributed Platform Infrastructure Engineering team, designing solutions for monitoring, troubleshooting, and obtaining telemetry from our Equinix worldwide network.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing robust architectures that handle large-scale data,establishingstandards and guidance for engineering teams, and ensuring the quality of the platform. We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering efficient, automated, and high‑performing systems globally at scale, while following agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive infrastructure automation for configuration management of 2,000+ VMs, dozens of Kubernetes clusters, and 600+ on‑premises servers, ensuring consistency across 120+ distributed Equinix data centers
• Collaborate with global teams (AMER, EMEA, and APAC) on security, networking, and platform standards
• ImplementGitOpspractices for deployments, drift management, and developer portal
• Build andmaintainstrong relationships with internal customers and product stakeholders to design effective and scalable solutions
• Work with technical project managers and product management teams to define and plan multiple projects
• Participate in on‑call shifts with clear processes and support

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Poland (Outside of Masovian) : 233,000 - 386,000 PLN / Annual

Poland : 257,000 - 425,000 PLN / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full‑time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
