Runway is seeking a Senior/Staff HR Business Partner to work directly with its leaders on how they grow, organize and perform. You’ll advise managers on people decisions, lead org design and talent programs, unblock teams, and translate insights into HR priorities across the business.

You will partner with leaders on headcount planning, coach on performance and development, and own complex employee relations cases in collaboration with Legal.

Formación

• 7+ years of HR experience, including HRBP roles.
• Experience in high-growth tech/AI company.
• Ability to advise senior leaders and earn trust.
• Strong employment law knowledge and discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfort working independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior/Staff HR Business Partner to work directly with Runways leaders and teams on how they grow, organize and perform. You'll advise managers and executives on people decisions, lead org design and talent programs, unblock teams so they can move faster and turn what you see across the business into HR priorities.

What You'll Do

• Partner with leaders on org design, headcount planning, team structure and leveling
• Coach managers and executives on performance, feedback, career development and difficult conversations
• Own complex employee relations cases from intake through resolution, including investigations, in partnership with Legal where needed
• Work with Compensation and Talent Acquisition on offers, promotions and market adjustments
• Use headcount, attrition, engagement and performance data to spot risks early and recommend action
• Design and roll out programs that fit how Runways teams work, from manager training to engagement initiatives
• Step in wherever the team needs it

What You'll Need

• 7+ years of experience in HR, including at least four as an HR Business Partner supporting fast growing teams
• Experience at a high-growth company, ideally through periods of rapid headcount growth
• A record of advising senior leaders and earning their trust
• Strong employee relations experience, with sound judgment and discretion
• Working knowledge of employment law, compensation practices and performance management frameworks
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• A high ownership mindset and a team-first attitude
