Google Warsaw is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering for Vertex AI. You will drive reliability across Google Cloud services, mentor teammates, and apply deep knowledge of distributed systems.

The role emphasizes coding, capacity planning, and scalable design. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with large-scale systems, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience (required).
• 5+ years of software development experience across one or more programming languages.
• 3+ years designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years leading projects and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through to deployment, operation and refinement.
• Support live services before they go live through design reviews, platform development, and capacity planning.
• Maintain services after launch by monitoring availability, latency and system health.
• Scale systems sustainably through automation and architectural improvements.
• Conduct blameless postmortems and incident response practices.
