Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Kraków, Poland seeks an experienced Software Engineer for the ECM-SRE team to improve reliability and observability across our public safety products. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement monitoring, triage incidents, and manage SLOs.

The role emphasizes on-call support, chaos engineering, and building high-availability strategies, with a strong focus on communication and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering (or equivalent degree).
• 3+ years of professional software development.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Incident Response in Enterprise Environments.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications (Azure/ AWS).
• Experience developing REST-based APIs and implementing microservice principles and architectures.
• Experience with modern DevOps tooling (including CI/CD pipelines).
• Familiarity with high-availability architecture, observability, monitoring, automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of Monitoring/Observability objectives.
• Triage of customer-reported incidents and problems to the proper software team.
• Maintenance and reporting of SLOs and error budget.
• Facilitation of Chaos Engineering activities with multiple engineering teams.
• Developing the SRE culture and sharing best practices across the ECM organization.
• On-call support alongside multiple engineering teams for production products and services.
• Assist customer support with communications and incident-related documents.
• Facilitation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis with multiple engineering teams.
