Allegro’s Enhance Category Experience team in Kraków is seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and scale high-throughput services in Kotlin with a strong Spring Boot foundation. You will integrate AI capabilities to automate workflows, classify data, and generate content while delivering features used by millions of customers domestically and abroad.

The role emphasizes performance, engineering best practices, and a collaborative environment with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience coding in Kotlin or Java (eagerness to master Kotlin for new services).
• Solid experience with Spring Boot to build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Value high-quality code and engineering best practices to solve challenges in massive-scale distributed systems.
• Open to exploring unfamiliar tech stacks including frontend as needed.
• Able to use AI-powered tools to accelerate coding and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale vertical product experiences in the Electronics domain.
• Build backend services in Kotlin and integrate AI capabilities.
• Ship features impacting millions of customers across Poland and international markets.
