Job summary

Sauce Labs Inc. in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (python, infrastructure) to own and evolve a distributed system stack. You will improve observability, cross-team collaboration, and delivery cadence, spanning from containerized services to VM and image tooling.

We value hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Go and Python, strong DevOps acumen, and macOS/APFS familiarity. This is a hybrid role requiring in-person work when needed and some travel to offices.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including fleet orchestration such as Agones.
• Proven ability to ship production code in Go and/or Python via CI/CD.
• Strong observability instincts: metrics, logging, tracing.
• DevOps and Linux/Unix experience; diagnose on machines (VM/container/bare metal).
• Experience shipping through code review and pairing on team-owned systems.
• macOS literacy: simctl, launchd, XPC, Apple virtualization stack.
• Storage or filesystem internals knowledge (APFS or similar).
• Cross-platform experience Windows/Linux infrastructure.
• Familiarity with OS/image tooling: Packer, tart, Ansible, cloud-init, sysprep.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example for testing, observability and delivery through code review and pairing.
• Own the device lifecycle across image boot to teardown for fleets and orchestration.
• Make the fleet observable with tooling and end-to-end visibility of the build pipeline.
• Root‑cause and fix lifecycle regressions with tests and automated release checks.
• Improve boot/teardown times and manage image and side-disk footprint.
• Collaborate with Cloud and Test Orchestration to land evidence-backed changes.
