Job summary

Capital on Tap is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the products small businesses rely on daily. You’ll work across cross-functional teams, own problems end to end, from code to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement; this is a remote B2B contract role.

You’ll design robust solutions in C#, .NET, and SQL Server, with React and TypeScript as a strong plus. Take architectural input, collaborate with Product and QA, write tests, and mentor teammates to raise the team’s overall

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in C#, .NET and SQL Server.
React and TypeScript are a strong plus.
Experience building scalable, distributed systems and owning SDLC end-to-end.
Strong testing and collaboration in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Designing and building robust, scalable solutions in .NET/C# and SQL Server.
Shaping architectural decisions and technical direction.
Working closely with Product and QA, bringing your technical perspective early and often.
Writing bulletproof unit and integration tests and holding a high bar for code quality across the team.
Communicating clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex engineering decisions into business context.
Mentoring and supporting engineers around you, raising the standard of the team as well as your own output.
