Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Search Infrastructure Team to help build, operate, and scale the search platform powering RelativityOne. This role focuses on running petabyte-scale search infrastructure with reliability, performance, observability, and discipline.

You will identify optimizations, define standards, and help shape future architecture while working with leads and cross-functional partners in a hybrid/remote Poland environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing software or infrastructure systems.
• Experience building, operating, or scaling distributed systems in production.
• Familiarity with reliability, availability, and operational readiness practices.
• Production support or on-call experience, including incident response and RCA.
• Strong problem-solving with operational data.
• Experience designing scalable solutions in major public cloud environments.
• Hands-on programming in a modern backend language.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, SRE, product, and architecture teams.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable search platform capabilities in a cloud environment.
• Run and improve production systems that support high-volume, mission-critical workflows.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable backend code.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and support incidents.
• Improve observability, automation, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
• Participate in production support and on-call responsibilities after onboarding.
• Collaborate with engineering, SRE, product, and architecture to evolve the roadmap.
