Job summary

Mirantis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the design and implementation of high-density, high-throughput control planes for AI training and inference workloads. You will work across Rust and Go, with a focus on Kubernetes operators, gRPC/Protobuf schemas, and robust reconciliation logic.

You will collaborate on networking integrations (SONiC, NVUE, Cumulus) and DPU ecosystems, leveraging OpenTelemetry for observability and building reliable, test-driven code in a distributed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience in cloud-native platforms, systems programming, networking, or infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade control plane microservices and Kubernetes operators in Rust and Go.
• Architectural specs, APIs, and system diagrams with FR/NFR guidance.
• Develop network integration modules for SONiC, NVUE, Cumulus and DPU hardware platforms.
• Instrument services with OpenTelemetry traces and metrics for observability and diagnostics.
• Contribute to rigorous PR reviews and ensure high test coverage via mock-driven testing.
• Experience with Rust (Tokio, Tonic, Axum, sqlx) and Go as primary languages.
