Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in AI Data to join our AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and future AI products.

You will work with high-quality datasets at petabyte scale, combining engineering, infrastructure, and research to improve training efficiency. You will discover new data sources, optimize data processing systems, and collaborate with AI scientists on dataset quality and model development.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering with strong backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, especially data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work abilities.

Responsibilities

• Discover new audio data sources and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Take ownership of projects from discovery through implementation and improvement.
