State Street is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join Platform Security Solutions within Technology Platform Engineering & Operations. The role focuses on Windows Server, .NET, MSSQL, and Azure, delivering self-service, scanning, and platform integration capabilities across large-scale enterprise systems.

You will work with Security Software Engineers and Architects to maintain, expand, and create new products, leveraging AI-assisted development techniques for robust cyber-resilient

Qualifications

Modern C# and .NET (8/9/10) development.
Experience with Blazor applications or ASP.Net Core.
Relational Databases, ideally MSSQL.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts incl. IAM and least privilege.
Knowledge of performance/scale concepts incl. asynchronous code, batch processing, locking, concurrency.
Experience designing, building, maintaining and complex distributed systems.
Proven ability to write robust, correct code.
Familiarity with SDLC tooling (Git, CI/CD, Jira).
Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
Strong experience with APIs.

Responsibilities

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (tech stack: Windows Server, .NET, Microsoft SQL, Azure) to join Platform Security Solutions organisation at Technology Platform Engineering & Operations division to bolster our Self-Service, Scanning and Platform Integrations function. The role holder will join other Security Software Engineers and Architects on a mission to maintain and expand existing, as well as to develop new products from scratch and operationalize them at the scale of an enterprise. This is a very exciting opportunity to work with multiple internally developed distributed systems, portals and data warehouses serving thousands of IT users and hundreds of thousands of IT assets in one of the world’s largest banks, be co-responsible for shaping their future and take them to the next level - also with the use of AI-assisted development techniques such as spec-driven development. Product mindset and strong focus on building solutions to solve the next big problem at the crossroad of Cybersecurity & IT is essential to succeed in this role and to deliver on the promise of a more cyber resilient, user-friendly bank.

Required Skills And Experience

Modern C# and .NET (e.g. 8/9/10) development
Experience with Blazor applications or at least ASP.Net Core
Working with Relational Databases (ideally MSSQL)
Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts including Identity & Access Management (IAM) and least privilege, secret management
Good understanding of Performance/Scale concepts including asynchronous code, batch processing, locking and concurrency
Experience designing, building, maintaining and complex distributed systems
Preference for and skill writing robust and correct code
Good understanding and proficiency working with SDLC tooling such as GIT, CI/CD pipelines, Jira
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory
Strong experience on working with APIs

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with public Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and migrating or re-architecting workloads from on-prem to cloud-native
Experience working with ServiceNow API
Previous experience working in a regulated industry
Demonstrated fluency in using LLMs to speed up and enhance engineering workflows

Note: The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office

Minimum Salary
zł182,004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
