Job summary

Grid Dynamics in Kraków is seeking a Mid/Senior Search Engineer to join our engineering team and help build federated, personalized search experiences for a major international retail brand. You will implement with Solr and Lucidworks Fusion and connect search to diverse data sources.

You will optimize queries and pipelines, collaborate with product owners and engineers, and contribute to scalable backend services in a cloud environment using Java, Spring Boot, and GCP.

Qualifications

• Strong Java backend engineering experience with data-oriented services.
• Hands-on with enterprise search platforms such as Solr and Lucidworks Fusion (Query Pipelines).
• Good command of English for technical collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical implementations using Apache Solr and Lucidworks Fusion functionality.
• Build and deploy robust integrations connecting search engines to data and content sources.
• Collaborate with digital product owners and software engineers to deliver personalized, high-relevance search results.
• Optimize and tune search queries, indices, and pipelines to improve accuracy and latency.
• Manage data-intensive backend components and RESTful APIs within a cloud ecosystem.
