Job summary

Forte Group seeks a Senior SDET to lead SAP test automation efforts using Tricentis Tosca. You will design scalable automation suites, manage test data, and promote reusable Tosca entities to ensure reliable test execution across SAP modules.

You will mentor junior automation engineers, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and drive continuous quality improvement within a remote-first, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Test Automation, including at least 2 years using Tricentis Tosca.
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable and maintainable automated test suites.
• Solid understanding of SAP modules and key business processes (e.g., SD, MM, FI).
• Strong experience with test data management practices.
• Ability to create reusable, parameterized Tosca test artifacts (Modules, Test Cases, Test Templates, Test Steps).

Job description

As a Senior SDET, you will play a critical role in an SAP test automation project by leading test automation efforts using Tricentis Tosca. You will be responsible for designing a scalable and maintainable automation suite, ensuring consistent and reliable test execution through effective test data management, and promoting the reuse and parameterization of Tosca entities.

You will work closely with functional experts, QA leads, and SAP consultants to align automation efforts with business processes and quality goals, supporting the ability to deliver a reliable automated test suite for SAP at the desired velocity.

Key responsibilities

Automated Test Case Development

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality automated test cases aligned with SAP business processes (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report)
• Manage and maintain a robust, version-controlled automation repository
• Translate manual regression test scenarios into automated tests using Tricentis Tosca
• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to ensure test coverage and system testability

Test Data Management

• Implement effective strategies for test data creation, management, and refresh to ensure repeatable and reliable test executions
• Develop approaches for test data isolation and parameterization to support different SAP environments

Continuous Integration and Reporting

• Monitor and report on automated test execution results, ensuring transparency and accountability for quality

Community and Mentorship

• Mentor junior automation engineers and testers on Tosca best practices
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and code reviews within the QA and delivery teams
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and quality excellence

Key Skills and Experience

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of experience in Test Automation, including at least 2 years specifically using Tricentis Tosca
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable and maintainable automated test suites
• Solid understanding of SAP modules and key business processes (e.g., SD, MM, FI)
• Strong experience with test data management practices
• Ability to create reusable, parameterized Tosca test artifacts (Modules, Test Cases, Test Templates, Test Steps)

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working with GxP processes in a regulated environment
• Experience with OpenText ALM for application lifecycle management
• Knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments
• Programming skills (Java, C#, Python, etc.) to create Tosca custom modules if necessary
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and working in a DevOps environment
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
