Job summary

Allegro is seeking Senior Scala Engineers to build scalable data ingestion for millions of Allegro customers. The platform processes billions of events daily across sites and apps, using a hybrid on-premise and Google Cloud Platform stack (Spark, Kafka, Beam, BigQuery, PubSub, Dataflow).

You will work with Scala/Java/Python, design distributed systems, and apply modern practices (TDD, CI/CD) in a Unix/Linux environment, communicating in English at B2 level and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Must have strong programming skills in Scala or Java and Python.
• Experience with distributed systems, data storage, and processing frameworks (Spark/Beam/dbt).
• Knowledge of GCP or other cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines for billions of events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data platforms.
• Apply clean code, TDD, and CI/CD in a Unix/Linux environment.
