Job summary

Intellias is looking for a Senior Scala Engineer to join a long-term partnership with a Fortune 100 industrial manufacturer. You will design and build scalable backend services, event-driven systems, and data products running on AWS.

As part of a distributed engineering team, you will mentor engineers, contribute to architecture decisions, and collaborate with global stakeholders in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Scala experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Akka / Apache Pekko.
• AWS expertise.
• Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or similar event-streaming platforms.
• Functional programming experience (Cats, Cats Effect, ZIO).
• PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Microservices and distributed systems.
• CI/CD and Docker.
• Strong architecture and design skills.

As part of a distributed engineering team, you'll design and develop scalable backend systems, event-driven services, and high-volume data processing solutions running on AWS.
