Job Description

As a senior developer, your primary responsibility is to design, build, test, and deploy functionalities in Bosch Product Backbone (BOP). This product is an application used by all divisions of Bosch worldwide. One of its components is the System Independent Material Master (SIMAT), which is a golden record calculated with complex rules in AMDP and CDS using S4/HANA core functionalities.

Tasks for this role include:

1. Being an expert in SAP S/4 HANA Development, utilizing your extensive experience in developing code used for processes at the group level in large companies.
2. Understanding business needs and designing and implementing requirements in SAP ABAP, BRF+, AMDP, and CDS views.
3. Learning and understanding business processes to improve efficiency and performance of current applications using new technologies.
4. Analyzing and evaluating requirements for application enhancements with customers and senior architects to ensure completeness from an implementation perspective.
5. Solving business issues by analyzing existing code and proposing solutions using SAP S/4 HANA services.
6. Preparing technical design documents for unit testing and integration support, and ensuring quality reviews are conducted.
7. Participating in project quality management tasks such as peer reviews, design document reviews, and code reviews.
8. Driving quality and standards in software engineering, and discussing innovative solution approaches and improvements.
9. Collaborating with architects and IT functional consultants to ensure successful completion of user stories within set timeframes.
10. Creating end-user documentation, using UML/TOGAF in Sparx Enterprise Architect, and training end users.
11. Continuously enhancing skills and seeking new areas for personal development.
12. Providing 3rd level support for your component in case of defects not found during quality assurance but occurring in production.
13. Transferring knowledge to new team members and mentoring them.

Qualifications

Skills Requirements:

• 9+ years of hands-on development experience with SAP S/4 HANA, AMDPs, and CDS views.

Programming languages and skills:

• ABAP (additional languages are an advantage)
• UML/TOGAF

Development experience:

• ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
• Knowledge of HANA 2.0 database features (SAP S/4HANA ON PREMISE Foundation Release 2023 FPS 01, 02/2024)
• Business modeling rule framework (BRF+)
• Technical areas such as CDS Views, AMDP, OOP concepts, Web services, ADBC, RFC, FPM
• Workflow Management
• Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)

Business Processes

MDM processes in Material Master including connected objects (Material classification, Document info records, Engineering Change Master, Bill of Material).
