Job summary

Nomagic in Warsaw, Poland is seeking a Senior Robotics/Software Engineer to advance the integration of software with physical robotic systems.

You will tackle modular control systems, heuristics on item handling, anomaly detection, and tooling for rapid robot deployment, with a focus on software–hardware integration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience in programming industrial robots (ABB is a strong plus).
• Technical leadership skills & experience.
• Great problem solving and proficiency in one of modern programming languages (we use Python).
• Experience in designing systems spanning software and hardware components.
• Fluent communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Build modular and expandable control systems for robot actions that can be adapted to multiple customer use-cases.
• Use data to build heuristics for handling different categories of items.
• Detect anomalies, e.g. signals to determine if a robot picked more than one item at once or if an item is disassembling.
• Build tools to quickly deploy robots at customer sites.
• Interfaces and APIs for integration with warehouse management systems.
