Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Mid QA Engineer to join our team in Kraków, focusing on manual validation, exploratory testing, and defect reporting for an AI-enabled maintenance platform. You’ll validate features, design structured test plans, and contribute toward automation over time.

You will work in a fast-paced, technically complex environment, leveraging Python scripting, API testing, and SQL verification to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience, including back-end or AI/ML-driven apps.
• Proficient in Python-based automation and scripting.
• Strong API testing, data persistence validation, and SQL querying.

Responsibilities

• Manual test execution against the live QA environment following established steps and expected results.
• Design test cases with clear steps, edge cases and negative scenarios.
• UI testing of the web application (Dashboard, Planning Hub, Admin, Schedule, Inventory).
• Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and integration defects across the multi-agent platform.
• Create detailed, reproducible Jira bugs with steps, screenshots, severity and expected vs actual behavior.
• Verify backend state via SQL queries and validate data persistence.

The solution covers predictive maintenance, inventory management automation, work schedule management, workforce allocation, and AI-assisted execution guidance — powered by multiple collaborating LLM agents (Copilot Agent, Maintenance Execution Agent, Maintenance Planner Agent, Workforce Allocation Agent).

The QA team operates in a high-velocity environment using cutting-edge AI-assisted development workflows (custom Antigravity workflows, slash-command automation, MCP-based database tooling, LLM evaluation frameworks). This role is designed for highly driven, ambitious professionals who thrive in fast-paced, technically complex environments.

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Mid QA Engineer to join our team working on an Agentic AI Maintenance Platform. Your primary focus will be manual validation of features, thorough exploratory testing, and clear defect reporting — while building the foundation to contribute to automation over time.

This is a fast-paced, cutting-edge project where AI coding assistants are part of the daily toolkit. You’ll be expected to learn fast, think critically, and take ownership of the quality of features you validate.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with 2+ years testing complex backend systems, integration platforms or AI/ML-driven applications.
• Expertise in Python or a similar language for deep automation and scripting.
• Proficiency in API testing and validating data persistence/audit logs in a database environment.
• Proven ability to define and drive a QA strategy from scratch, turning high-level requirements (functional & non-functional) into clear, executable, and automated test plans.
• Prior experience setting up QA for a containerized (Docker/Kubernetes) environment.
• Conceptual understanding of LLM application development, agentic frameworks and principals of testing complex AI systems
• Experience working in industrial, manufacturing or operations technology domains
• Experience in operational liability, such as managing SLA and handling system downtimes.
• Written and spoken English language proficiency (equivalent of B2 or higher)

Job responsibilities

• Manual test execution — validate “Ready for QA” tasks by executing test cases against the live QA environment, following established test steps and expected results.
• Test design — write clear, structured test cases with well-defined steps and expected results; identify edge cases and negative scenarios during test planning.
• UI testing — perform functional, responsiveness, and cross-browser testing of the Command Center web application (Dashboard, Planning Hub, Admin, Schedule, Inventory pages).
• Exploratory testing — go beyond scripted test cases to discover edge cases, usability issues, and integration defects across the multi-agent platform.
• Defect reporting — create detailed, reproducible bug reports in Jira with screenshots, steps-to-reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior, and severity classification.
• Database verification — use SQL queries to validate data persistence, verify backend state after UI actions, and support data integrity checks.
• Test case management — maintain and update the master test case CSV registry following the established schema; ensure proper categorization, Jira linking, and test result tracking.
• AI tool usage — use AI coding assistants to accelerate test case writing, defect triage, and exploratory analysis; gradually learn prompt engineering techniques relevant to the project.
• Requirements clarification — review incoming stories and requirements, identify gaps or ambiguities, and work with the team to clarify acceptance criteria before testing begins.
• Automation potential — identify manual tests suitable for automation and, over time, contribute basic pytest test implementations with guidance from senior QA.
