Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Quality Assurance and Quality Control lead to own QA/QC for information systems enhancing competition policy processes.

You will define quality strategies, coordinate testing activities, monitor metrics, and drive continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle, collaborating with project managers, developers, testers, and stakeholders in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Information Systems Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Experience defining QA procedures, test strategies, test plans, and quality standards.
• Experience implementing or auditing quality frameworks such as ISO 9001 or CMMI.
• ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain information systems quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Create comprehensive quality assurance plans and contribute to SLAs and KPIs.
• Define, develop, manage, and report on test strategies, plans, execution, and results.
• Coordinate test campaigns and ensure effective planning and execution of quality activities.
• Conduct quality audits, process reviews, assessments, and metric analysis to ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare quality studies, assessments, reports, and recommendations for digital solutions.
• Analyze defect metrics and quality trends to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Drive continuous quality and process improvements in collaboration with development and project teams.
• Manage quality risks, maintain risk registers, and prioritize corrective actions.
• Promote quality best practices and standards, including ISO 9001 and CMMI.
• Apply risk-based testing approaches to prioritize testing according to business impact.
• Coordinate testing of workflow-based systems and integrations with external systems.
• Communicate quality status, risks, test results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level quality reports and presentations.
• Support and coordinate testing teams to ensure consistent quality standards and successful delivery.

Job description

You will take ownership of Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for information systems designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of competition policy processes.

You will define quality strategies, coordinate testing activities, monitor quality metrics and risks, and drive continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, development teams, testers, and stakeholders in a multicultural and multilingual environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain Information Systems quality assurance and quality control procedures
• Create comprehensive quality assurance plans and contribute to the definition of SLAs and KPIs
• Define, develop, manage, and report on test strategies, plans, execution, and results
• Coordinate test campaigns and ensure effective planning and execution of quality activities
• Conduct quality audits, process reviews, assessments, and metric analysis to ensure compliance with established standards
• Prepare quality studies, assessments, reports, and recommendations for digital solutions
• Analyze defect metrics and quality trends to identify root causes and improvement opportunities

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience in InformationSystems Quality Assurance and Quality Control
• Knowledge of testing technologies and tools such as Selenium, Postman, Jira, or similar
• Strong understanding of testing techniques, including equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis
• Experience defining and implementing QA procedures, test strategies, test plans, and quality standards
• Experience implementing or auditing quality frameworks and standards such as ISO 9001 or CMMI
• Good understanding of the information systems and software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
• Hands‑on experience with test management and defect tracking tools
• Experience with test data management using relational databases
• Understanding of risk‑based testing methodologies and their application based on business impact
• Knowledge of performance and load testing concepts and tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
• Experience testing task‑oriented and workflow‑based systems
• Experience testing integrations with external systems
• Experience analyzing quality metrics, defects, trends, and root causes
• Experience managing or coordinating a testing team
• Strong reporting skills with the ability to prepare clear, structured, and comprehensive documentation
• Ability to communicate test strategy, quality risks, and status effectively to testers, developers, project managers, and senior stakeholders
• Ability to prepare and deliver executive‑level presentations and confidently communicate quality recommendations
• ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent certification is required
• Professional experience related to competition policy will be a strong advantage
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multicultural team
• English proficiency sufficient for professional communication, documentation, and multilingual meetings
• French language proficiency will be a plus
• Results‑oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and successful delivery
