Job summary

Focal Systems in Poland is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to elevate quality across UI, API, and backend systems. You will design and run automated tests, collaborate with product and data teams, and help shape our testing strategy in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Ideal candidates have deep Python experience, strong API testing skills, and a track record with Playwright or Selenium. You will contribute to high-quality deliverables while supporting our global, time-zone diverse team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience as a QA engineer.
• 3+ years of Python experience.
• Extensive experience with REST APIs.
• Experience with Playwright or Selenium.
• Experience with data-intensive applications & microservices.
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD tools.
• Fluent in Polish with advanced English skills (written & spoken).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and demonstration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support GUI/API testing and backend validation to ensure systems behave as expected.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure quality coverage across frontend and backend features.
• Identify bugs, document issues clearly, and support their resolution.
• Continuously build your knowledge of QA best practices, tools, and automation strategies.
