Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm in Kraków is seeking a Senior IT Researcher. You will work with an international team to develop and maintain automated testing for an internal AI platform. Ideal candidates have over 5 years in testing, experience in both UI and backend testing, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. The position is full-time, requiring 3 days in the office each week.

Project Description:

You will join the team behind an internal AI platform for processing and interacting with unstructured data. The team is currently over 30 people strong and is organised into agile teams, each of which is self-sufficient and handles the creation of features from the idea stage, through analysis, implementation, testing, production deployment, and maintenance. The team is international, and it's located in Krakow, Wroclaw and London

Responsibilities:

Are you passionate about bringing complex AI systems to life? Do you have the drive to innovate and assure excellence? We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in test who:

- Actively works as a test engineer/software engineer in test, utilising their skills to design, implement and maintain automated tests.

- Supports project management with documentation and production of testing status and platform readiness assessments.

- Is proactive and ensures the technical and business stakeholders are aware of progress and where they need to help to make the delivery successful.

- Automates Web UI and REST API tests, as well as specialised tests (performance, post-deployment).

- Collaborates closely with developers and analysts who create the features being tested.

- Logs discovered issues in a bug tracking tool.

- Supports the preparation of production releases of an application.

- Actively promotes a culture of "automation first" in Quality Assurance.

- Shares knowledge and good practices with the rest of the team

Mandatory Skills Description:

- You have +5 years of professional experience as a test engineer.

- You have experience in UI and backend testing.

- You have a mindset to understand technical and business details, root causes of failures or changes.

- You understand the need for regression and automation suites based on TDD frameworks.

- You have experience in Scrum/Agile methodology.

- You have experience with CI/CD.

- You are familiar with cloud infrastructure (Azure).
