Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a senior Automation Test Engineer to join a strategic project for a leading global investment bank. You will help scale a cloud-native data platform on Microsoft Azure and ensure quality across 50+ business units.

As part of an agile team, you will own end-to-end testing, design scalable automation frameworks, and collaborate with developers, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Automation Testing experience with Java in Banking/Finance.
• Strong Java backend development and testing skills with BDD and AI-assisted test automation.
• Experience designing and implementing automated tests in Azure cloud environments.
• Solid SQL knowledge.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tooling (Git/GitHub/GitLab) and pipeline automation.
• Experience with performance, load, or security testing.
• Agile/Scrum experience in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Engineer robust test automation for a cutting-edge cloud data platform, ensuring it meets the complex data transformation needs of 50+ business tenants.

Design and implement scalable, maintainable test frameworks that integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines, accelerating delivery and reducing defects.

Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, validate functionality, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Own end-to-end testing of new features—from defining test strategies and writing automated tests to analyzing results and driving continuous improvements.

Champion engineering excellence by identifying opportunities to optimize test coverage, reduce manual effort, and enhance platform reliability.

Communicate progress and risks effectively, contributing to a culture of transparency, quality, and innovation.

Must have

7+ years of experience in Automation Testing with Java, preferably in Banking and Financial Services domain.

Solid Java Backend development and testing experience along with with behavior-driven development and AI-assisted test automation.

Proven ability to design and implement robust automated test cases in cloud-based environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) based on user stories and acceptance criteria.

Solid understanding of SQL.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub/GitLab, and pipeline automation.

Strong knowledge of performance testing, load testing, or security testing tools and methodologies.

Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging complex systems and developing scalable test automation solutions.

Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Exposure to Kafka or other event streaming platforms is a plus.
