Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our team. You will design, implement, maintain and execute automated test scenarios for hardware/software integrated systems using Python, contributing to a custom test automation framework.

Work with engineers, system engineers, and customer representatives in an international environment to verify device connectivity, data transfer, and system behavior across components, including cloud services.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in QA / Test Automation.
• Strong knowledge of Python and experience developing automated tests.
• Experience working with or contributing to custom automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of software testing principles, test design, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Experience testing systems involving both software and physical hardware.
• Ability to analyze logs, reproduce complex issues, and troubleshoot failures across multiple system components.
• Experience working with Linux-based environments.
• Good understanding of Git-based development workflows.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Ability to work directly with engineers and customer representatives in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and execute automated test scenarios using Python.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of a custom test automation framework.
• Develop automated tests for hardware/software integrated systems.
• Perform end-to-end testing covering interactions between the physical medical device and cloud services.
• Validate device connectivity, data transfer, configuration, and system behavior across multiple components.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing.
• Analyze system and software requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Investigate failures across hardware, embedded software, application, and cloud layers.
• Work closely with developers, system engineers, and other QA engineers to identify and resolve defects.
• Maintain test documentation and support verification activities in a regulated medical-device environment.
• Participate in improving testability, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
