Job summary

Luxoft Germany is seeking a senior Python developer to lead the build of a new data and application platform for a client in investment banking. The role emphasizes clean code, agile delivery, and high-quality outputs.

You will design back-end services, optimize data pipelines on Databricks, and mentor the team. The candidate will implement CI/CD in Azure DevOps, define RESTful APIs, and drive best practices across architecture and testing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on Python development skills
• Experience with PySpark and distributed data processing
• Proven experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Hands-on Databricks experience
• Strong SQL skills and Oracle experience
• Unix/Linux and shell scripting knowledge
• Experience scheduling and monitoring batch jobs with Autosys
• Background in Java or C# development
• Experience in automated testing of data pipelines and applications
• Familiarity with agile practices (Scrum, Kanban)
• Good communication and ability to state requirements clearly

Responsibilities
