Job summary

Luxoft Poland seeks a Senior Python Engineer to drive data infrastructure and analytics solutions. You will analyze databases, design data models, and build robust ETL pipelines from varied sources using Python and SQL.

The role involves deploying on AWS, mentoring teammates, and improving code quality within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in Python, strong OO design, experience with Linux and time-series databases, and comfort with industrial data protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Python Engineer.
• Strong software engineering skills including object-oriented design and system design patterns.
• Experience implementing team processes and best practices for environments, security, coding standards, QA, etc.
• Experience mentoring and building skills of team members.
• Experience with Linux.
• Experience with Timeseries DB and real-time data.
• Experience with AWS Services (Lambda, EC2, Cognito, Greengrass).
• Experience in an agile environment.
• Industry/Manufacturing experience is highly desired.

Monitoring and diagnostics system which fulfills both local and remote data access and analytics requirement, as well as local and remote troubleshooting purpose.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design and implementing databases, information models and data pipelines.
• Building the code and logic required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL or programming languages.
• Building analytics solutions that provide valuable insights for clients and end users.
• Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures
• Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems
• Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes
• Working with AWS services to deploy, scale, and manage applications

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Python Engineer.
• Strong software engineering skills, including object-oriented design and an understanding of system design patterns
• Experience of presenting and implementing development team processes / best practices for environments, security, coding standards, QA processes etc
