Job summary

AXA XL in Gurugram, India is seeking a Senior Analyst to support the Americas Large Commercial Property pricing. You will build dashboards, design APIs, and collaborate with underwriters and actuaries to drive profitability.

The role requires strong actuarial experience in non-life pricing, advanced R/SQL/Python, and excellent communication. You will report to Pricing Operations Senior Lead and work within a global pricing team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an actuarial role with non-life pricing, preferably Property Lines.
• Advanced coding skills in R, SQL and Python are a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain property pricing dashboards and analytical tools in Excel, R and Power BI to monitor portfolio performance, support underwriting management, and provide actionable insights to drive profitability and growth.
• Design, maintain and test scalable and reusable APIs using R and SQL facilitating seamless interaction between tools and data services within property pricing.
• Ensure efficiency of pricing and support automation of underwriting processes.
• Provide ongoing guidance to underwriters on the effective use of pricing tools.
• Engage with the global property pricing team to promote consistency and best practices.
• Auditing and, where appropriate, questioning the rate change and profitability metrics being recorded.
• Designing and producing management information to assist underwriters and the management team.
