Job summary

N-iX is seeking an experienced Product Owner to drive the portal feature-parity workstream for our clients in the EU/UK. You will translate strategic goals into clear user stories, prioritise the backlog, and guide cross-functional teams across engineering, UX, DevOps, and QA.

The role requires strong requirements elicitation, extensive Jira/Confluence usage, and excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Product Owner in a software development environment.
  • Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across business, functional, and non-functional needs.
  • Hands-on experience writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria and managing/prioritizing a product backlog.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum / Kanban teams.
  • Proficiency with Jira (required) and Confluence (or comparable Agile and documentation tooling).
  • Experience with Miro or similar collaboration/whiteboarding tools.
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models and cloud-based architectures, with a working understanding of AWS/Azure.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, integrations, and data flows.
  • Process mapping and modeling skills (BPMN, flow diagrams).
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and workshop leadership.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a distributed, multi-timezone team (EU, UK).
  • Excellent English communication skills, comfortable with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own, refine, and prioritize the product backlog for the portal feature-parity workstream.
  • Translate product vision and business objectives into clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria in Jira.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions.
  • Lead and support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning.
  • Ensure requirements traceability from business objective through to deliveryCollaborate with engineering, UX, DevOps, and QA to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
  • Document workflows, process diagrams, system interactions, and data flows.
  • Define KPIs and success metrics for new features and releases.
  • Support UAT planning and validation to confirm delivered functionality meets business intent.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts of proposed changes.
  • Engage with Client product and engineering counterparts in EU/UK on scope, integration points, and delivery milestones.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retros, demos)

Requirements
  • 5+ years as a Product Owner in a software development environment

  • Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum (CSM, SAFe) / Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Experience with SQL or data querying tools
  • Exposure to compliance or regulatory-driven environments (data privacy, security standards)
