Job summary

Slate is seeking a Process Engineer of Seats Production to analyze, design, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, safety and cost performance. You will apply industrial engineering to improve labor, material flow, and production systems while supporting new programs and capacity expansion.

Qualifications

• 12+ years related automotive manufacturing experience with Bachelor's degree
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems
• Automotive OEM experience preferred
• Experience with Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Process Design & Optimization: develop and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Layout & Material Flow: design plant layouts, workstation ergonomics, and material flow.
• Capacity Planning & Resource Management: analyze production capacity, forecast requirements, and plan manpower, machines, and tooling.
• Cost Analysis & Continuous Improvement: perform cost analyses and drive waste-reduction projects to improve productivity.
• Quality & Safety Integration: ensure processes meet quality standards and integrate safety into design.
• New Program Support: participate in DFM/A reviews and validate process capability for launches.
