Job summary

Inetum Polska sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior PostgreSQL / Data Engineer to help build a high-performance data platform for financial markets. You will work on near real-time processing, large-scale storage, and integration with RabbitMQ, delivering refreshed data every second.

The role requires strong PostgreSQL skills, partitioning expertise, and experience with Big Data environments in a Linux setting. English and Polish fluency is expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional PostgreSQL experience in enterprise-scale systems.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and partitioning.
• Experience with indexing and query optimization (BTrees, Hash, GIN, GiST, BRIN).
• Experience with ETL processes and Big Data environments.
• Linux proficiency and performance-critical DB tuning.
• Fluent Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize a high-performance data platform for financial markets.
• Handle near real-time processing and large-scale data volumes.
• Implement partitioning, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Integrate with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ (and Kafka).
• Provide refreshed data access to downstream teams with low latency updates.
• Ensure high availability, scalability and performance in a demanding environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions.
