Tesco Technology is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the DEEP (Developer Experience & Enablement Platform) team in Kraków. You will design and build scalable platform capabilities serving around 100 applications, shaping Tesco's technical landscape.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, reliability, and collaboration across engineering groups, with hybrid work and a strong focus on delivering meaningful value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade infrastructure and/or applications.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), IaC and networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, ingress).
• Strong expertise in system design and full-stack development.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end, from concept to production.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Experience mentoring engineers and fostering technical growth within teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build new intelligent capabilities of the platform, including AI-driven workflows, and drive technical consensus.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure, shared libraries, and tooling that support engineering teams.
• Drive platform adoption by attracting new teams.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, programme, and engineering stakeholders to deliver cross-functional solutions.
• Promote engineering excellence through advanced engineering practices, automation, testing, and observability.

You will need:

About the role

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our Developer Experience & Enablement Platform (DEEP) team. Within this team, we provide a trusted engineering foundation through reliable platform infrastructure, opinionated libraries and tooling, and clear golden paths.

In this role, you'll design and build new intelligent capabilities of the platform that serves around 100 applications.

This is a high-impact position where you’ll work holistically across the stack, dive into complex technical challenges, and help shape the future of Tesco’s technical landscape.

Salary

UoP 26 000 - 33 000 PLN gross/month
