Job summary

Polcode is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to build payment modules for PrestaShop and WooCommerce on a project-based engagement. You will be the sole developer, owning architecture and REST API integration from design to production.

Work can be 100% remote (within Poland) or in our Warsaw office. This short-term project runs for up to 4–5 weeks, starting in the second half of August. You should be comfortable working independently with tight delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Senior-level PHP skills with strong commercial e-commerce experience.
• Hands-on experience building PrestaShop modules.
• Strong experience with REST API and payment gateway integrations.
• Good understanding of payment flows, webhooks, error handling and security.
• High independence as the sole developer on the project.
• Ability to drive implementation with minimal day-to-day guidance.

Responsibilities

• Build payment modules for PrestaShop and WooCommerce.
• Take technical ownership from architecture to production delivery.
• Integrate e-commerce platforms with a payment gateway via REST API.
• Implement payment flows, statuses, refunds, and webhooks.
• Ensure security, code quality, and platform compatibility.
