Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA in Poland to own the Oracle infrastructure delivery and ensure platform stability across regions. You will work with database support, application teams and technology partners to keep services reliable and secure while enabling changes.

Responsibilities include tuning, high availability, disaster recovery planning and delivering compliant documentation. Strong Oracle/Linux security and DevOps tooling experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven Oracle Database administration experience across Oracle 12c and 19c.
• Expert-level performance analysis using AWR, ADDM and ASH.
• Design, implement, manage and support Oracle GoldenGate replication, including GoldenGate Microservices.
• Build and support RAC and non-RAC environments, including Dataguard and OEM.
• Delivery of database build, configuration, upgrade, migration, refresh and patching activities.
• Automation and DevOps tooling such as HashiCorp Vault, Ansible, Jenkins and Git; scripting in Shell and Python.
• Strong Oracle and Linux security architecture aligned to design patterns.

As a Senior Oracle DBA you’ll take ownership of complex Oracle infrastructure delivery and day-to-day platform stability, working closely with database support, application teams and central technology partners to keep services reliable, secure and ready for change.

What You’ll Do

• Own technical delivery of Oracle infrastructure projects, providing technical and process guidance across project teams and database support
• Provide consulting on database performance monitoring, tuning and optimisation at instance and SQL leve
• Maintain high availability and replication setups and deliver capacity planning and disaster recovery planning
• Produce high-quality deliverables and documentation in line with agreed delivery standards
• Stabilise Oracle environments through proactive service review, identifying capacity issues and implementing short- and medium-term demand changes with application teams
• Assess, develop, document and implement changes from requests for change, translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Troubleshoot incidents and complete root cause analysis, putting preventative actions in place to reduce recurrence
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, support and engineering teams to provide ongoing technical consultancy and guidance

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Bring proven Oracle Database administration experience across Oracle 12c and 19c, including architecture, troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Apply expert-level performance analysis using AWR, ADDM and ASH reports
• Design, implement, manage and support Oracle Golden Gate replication, including Golden Gate Microservices, ensuring data integrity and availability
• Build and support RAC and non-RAC environments, including Dataguard, Grid Control and Oracle Enterprise Manager configuration and management
• Deliver database build, configuration, upgrade, migration, refresh and patching activities, including backup and recovery with RMAN
• Use automation and DevOps tooling such as Hashi Corp Vault, Ansible, Jenkins and Git plus scripting in Shell and Python
• Apply strong Oracle and Linux security architecture and align solutions to approved design patterns and security standards
• Coordinate major incidents with Incident Management Function and Global Command Centre and work effectively with agile practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence

What We Offer

The pay range for this role is 22317 PLN – 27000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Additional car allowance in the amount of 4786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
