Brown Brothers Harriman in Kraków is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Advisor within our Enterprise Risk Management Function to support Investor Services. You will identify, measure and mitigate operational risks, collaborating with internal control functions globally to protect risk appetite and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Analytical and enquiring mind with a focus on risk awareness.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in the funds industry.
• Experience in risk management or operational activities of Fund Accounting / Alternative Funds or SOC1 controls assurance is a distinct advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Polish including presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills pertaining to risk identification and solutioning.
• Self-motivation with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor, measure and mitigate operational risks within Investor Services.
• Provide analysis, advice and support to management on risk profiles.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Legal and Compliance and other control functions globally.
• Act as risk & control advisor to ensure activities align with risk appetite.
• Support leaders in proactive risk measurement and monitoring for the InServ line.
• Promote risk awareness and escalation through formal training and initiatives.
• Drive risk transparency by identifying trends and control weaknesses.
• Participate in risk & control reviews of processes and workflows.
• Track corrective actions and analyze audit findings and risk events.
• Leverage risk tools like FRED and RCSA to inform risk decisions.
